These splendid waterfalls of more than one hundred meters in height constitute one of the most remarkable natural attractions of the Moroccan Atlas, among the olive trees, to the foot of the waterfall offer points of view closer and closer to the falls. We can descend to the bottom of the depression, where the torrent rushes in a deafening noise. From the top of the fall, the view of the chasm is impressive. Itinerary
This excursion starts with pickup from your accommodation at 8 AM by an air-conditioner and comfortable vehicle to drive you for 170 KM to the Middle Atlas section close to Azilal province in M’goun Geopark. On the road, you can make stops to take some memorable photos and admire the landscapes of the Middle Atlas mountains and Berber villages. The cascades of Ouzoud are one of the most visited attractions and recommended day trips departing from Marrakech. You can't wait to enjoy the beauty of the highest waterfalls of Morocco (Around 110m), take a guided hike with the local mountain guide around the cascades for a couple of hours, visit one of the old mills on the top of the falls with which people used to grind the grains of the crop in Morocco, ride the local boats to cross the river, you could access the bottom of the falls through a shaded path of olive trees where some Barbary apes may greet you on the way. Enjoy a scrumptious Berber Tagine in one of the local restaurants/Cafés terraces. Ouzoud Falls are a popular site for Moroccans too especially in summer as it is a perfect place for a refreshing swim (Bring your swimming suits), it may be crowded during weekends.
